PROVIDENCE – A merge last month between Brown Urology and Urological Specialists of New England now allows Brown Urology to treat patients across Rhode Island and in southern Massachusetts.

The deal, which became official on May 18, brought USNE’s seven urologists, two physician assistants and more than 30 additional staff members under the Brown Urology umbrella, although they will continue to practice in existing offices in West Warwick, Woonsocket, Johnston, Cranston and Kent, Women & Infants and Landmark hospitals.

As a result of the merger, Brown Urology has eight locations and practices in eight hospitals in Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts.

“USNE is a very busy, well-established and highly regarded community urology practice serving the West Bay and northern Rhode Island. The Brown Urology providers have had long-standing referral relationships with these physicians, which will only be strengthened by this affiliation,” said Dr. Mark Sigman of Brown Urology.

Dr. Angelo Cambio of USNE added that while his practice’s name will change, “Our patients can expect to receive the same quality care from the same providers and locations they’ve come to know.”
