PROVIDENCE – Vector Software Inc., which designs software-testing solutions for embedded systems and applications, has launched a new sales office in Ottawa, Ontario, to serve customers in eastern Canada.
The new office in Canada’s national capital is Vector’s first in the country, and will allow the company to serve clients in Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec and Toronto in both England and French.
In conjunction with the launch of the Ottawa office, Vector Software has named Pierre Charron to the role of regional sales manager of eastern Canada. Charron brings 20 years of high-tech experience to the role, having served at companies such as Green Hills Software, Motorola and QNX Software. Charron holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Ottawa.
Vector Software said the expansion into eastern Canada reflects the growing popularity of company’s VectorCast embedded software test in the region.
“In order to service our customers in Canada, it’s become critical that we open an office in the region,” said Bill McCaffrey, chief technology officer of Vector Software. “Opening the new office in Ottawa enables us to grow our existing customer base, and capitalize on the tremendous opportunities available in the Canadian marketplace.”
The announcement of Vector’s Canada office came only a week after the company said it would open a second office in Germany to serve clients there as well as in Austria and Switzerland.
