PROVIDENCE – German company Dräger has selected the VectorCAST software trial platform, manufactured by East Greenwich-based Vector Software Inc., to be included in its forthcoming new gas detection system, Vector Software announced Monday.
VectorCAST was chosen for its capacity to be integrated well into Dräger’s existing systems as well as its specific certification to work with safety-focused software.
Dräger plans to use the platform’s various components to create a comprehensive system for testing products, analyzing code coverage and managing integration and tests of the gas detection system. Dräger manufactures detection systems and other similar products for extreme situations, like firefighting, mining and heavy industry.
“The VectorCAST platform provides us with the tools we need to begin development of our newest generation of gas detectors,” Don DeLauder, Dräger’s director of research and development, said in a statement.
