PROVIDENCE – Volute, which has developed a workforce-learning platform allowing users to collaborate and share workplace tools, is collaborating with Providence College, the software company announced.
The company and the college are developing a workflow-training format for key skills courses.
Dan Horne, associate dean at the college’s school of business, is working with Volute on interactive, workflow-training modules for recent and new hires.
“The Skills for Career Advancement series features short learning bursts that help employees acquire skills necessary for those on an accelerated career track,” Horne said in a statement. “Using the Volute platform, content experts at Providence College developed modules using tools that deliver performance support and skills attainment.”
“Employees prefer learning what happens when they need it within their workflow, almost as a byproduct of their tasks,” said Volute founder and CEO Michael Croft. “They don’t want training that pulls them from their work; they want it to solve problems that they encounter as a natural part of their work.”
