Warren waterfront retreat sells for $1.5M, town’s largest sale of 2024

WARREN – A 3,800-square-foot home constructed in 1985 on the waterfront recently sold for $1.5 million, marking the highest residential sale in the town for 2024 as of early September, according to Compass Inc., which represented both sides in this transaction.

The 9 Shore Drive home in the Touisset area contains three bedrooms, three bathrooms and one half-bathroom, according to Compass, which cited data kept by the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service to deem this the biggest home sale of the year in Warren.

The property includes a western-facing, 385-square-foot stationary dock and another 200-square-foot floating dock, according to town property records. The property contains 0.39 acres of land, according to property records.

The two-story home features a private wing on the first floor with two guest bedrooms and a full bathroom with a soaking tub, according to Compass.

The home also features a heated and air-conditioned enclosed porch for year-round enjoyment, the real estate firm said.

The home’s kitchen features granite countertops and high-end appliances, and the home includes a paneled built-in mudroom nook, Compass said.

The second floor includes a primary suite with a walk-in cedar closet, dressing area and an office with a wall of windows overlooking the water, the real estate firm said.

A laundry room and a bonus room round out the second floor.

Outside, the property includes a 200-square-foot stone patio.

The home was most recently valued by Warren property assessors in fiscal 2024 as being worth a total of $1.1 million, according to the town’s online property tax evaluation database.

Beth Anderson, of Compass’ Barrington office, represented the sellers, while her colleague, Amanda Bruneau, also of Compass’ Barrington Office, represented the buyers.

According to the warranty deed, a public record of the sale, the home was sold by Autumn Williams and Mark Williams, of Warren, and it was purchased by Daniel Johnson and Janelle Johnson, of New York.
