CRANSTON – The Washington Trust Co. yesterday announced the opening of its 17th branch, and its second in Cranston, at 1203 Oaklawn Ave.
The new branch is the bank’s second in Cranston, joining the existing branch at 646 Reservoir Ave. (Route 2). Its branch manager will be Elaine T. Budnik deCiutiis, a Washington Trust assistant vice president.
“We are very excited about our new Oaklawn Avenue location,” said Jack F. Treanor, president and chief operating officer of the Westerly-based Washington Trust Co. “We’ve had much success with our Reservoir Avenue location, and hope this new location will add more convenience to our customers in the Cranston and Warwick area.”
The grand opening celebration is slated for this Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to noon. It will include a visit from Paws, the Pawtucket Red Socks mascot; a live radio broadcast by Mike Adams of WEEI 103.7’s “The Planet Mikey Show”; giveaways including drawings for family four-packs of tickets to the Aug. 3 Pawsox-Rochester game and barbeque; and free balloons, popcorn and Del’s lemonade.
