Convention Center. Registration for the event will open at 11 a.m.
Weaver has received a British Academy Award for “The Ice Storm,” two Golden Globe Awards for “Gorillas in the Mist” and “Working Girl,” three nominations for the Best Actress Academy Award and a Tony Award nod for her starring role in “Hurlyburly.”
This year’s luncheon is co-chaired by Katherine M. McKenzie, a trustee at Women & Infants, and Joseph J. MarcAurele, president of Citizens Bank Rhode Island and presented by Summer Infant and several major donors, including the: Citizens Bank Foundation; Katherine M. McKenzie; Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Co.; the Auxiliary of Women & Infants Hospital; Bank of America; Heather M. Campbell; Capco Steel; Chemart; CVS Caremark Corp.; Eastside Marketplace; Textron Inc.; and Walsh Brothers.
Through a matching grant from the Carter Family Charitable Trust, gifts received through the Celebrity Luncheon will be increased by 50 percent.
Proceeds will benefit the ONWARD Campaign for Women & Infants, which supports the construction of a five-story addition to the hospital slated to open next year. The new facility will include a new two-story neonatal intensive-care unit and 30 new adult rooms.
