The Westerly Hospital is sponsoring a three-part discussion next month on digestive health, aiming to improve the public’s understanding of the anatomy and function of the various organs of the digestive tract as well as the abnormalities that can occur, how these abnormalities are diagnosed, and how they are treated.
All three discussions will be led by Dr. Bradford Lavigne, a board-certified gastroenterologist at Gastroenterology Specialists Inc. and member of The Westerly Hospital’s medical staff. They will be held at The Mystic Medical Center on 23 Clara Drive in Mystic, Conn., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The topics are: March 2 – esophagus and stomach health; March 16 – liver, gallbladder and pancreas health; and March 30 – intestines and colon health.
