The Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership’s fourth annual Dancing with the Stars of Mentoring fundraiser netted $65,000 for the organization. The event, held at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, featured six local celebrity dancers and their professional partners from the Dancin’ Feelin’ studio, based out of Warwick. The money raised from the dancing competition came through ticket sales, both a live and silent auction, and people voting for their favorite celebrity dancer by donating a dollar for each vote they cast.
The Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership hosted noted local celebrities who volunteered their time and worked to perfect their routines for the competition, including WPRO-AM Afternoon Co-Host Ron St. Pierre; “The Hummel Report” Executive Director Jim Hummel; Advocacy Solutions’ Kate Nagle, who is also a partnership board member; Eva Mancuso, managing partner at Hamel, Waxler, Allen, and Collins; Deb Gormley, director of training at Citizens Bank Rhode Island; and Mike Webber, Highway Division chief for the City of Warwick. &#8226
