The Crown Market is proudly celebrating 70 years in business. To honor their 70th year,
from October 3rd to December 10th, The Crown will be performing 70 Acts of Kindness*
in support of the community. These acts include support to individuals and groups in
both the greater Hartford area as well as outreaching communities that have ties to The
Crown. Included in the list of Acts are sponsorship of programs that serve children,
seniors, under-privileged, libraries, fire and police and a variety of religious
organizations.

The Crown is also holding weekly drawings of $70 for customers as well as a 70¢ item of
the day during this time period.
Established in 1940 by Sam Smith, Sam Sowalsky, and Jack Sloat, The Crown has
been a cornerstone of the Jewish community for 7 decades. Purchased by Norwich
businessman, Marc Bokoff in 2009, The Crown takes great pride in providing customers
with the best quality Kosher food products, competitive pricing, along with an exceptional
level of customer service. Customers come to The Crown from throughout Connecticut
as well as parts of Massachusetts and New York.

Market, states Marc Bokoff. I am happy to have a business that has served so many
generations and continues to meet the needs of the community. I invite

The Crown is a full service grocery store located in West Harford featuring Kosher
meats, deli and bakery items, as well as catering and convenient cuisine. Customers can
receive weekly specials via email or view them on-line. The store is open six days a
week and closed on Saturday.
The Crown has extended its hours due to customer
requests (Sunday: 8AM – 7PM, Monday – Thursday: 8AM – 8PM and Friday7AM –
7PM (or sunset), but please check the website as times may vary.
