SEA CORP awarded $29.6M NUWC technical-services contract

MIDDLETOWN – Systems Engineering Associates Corp. has been awarded a $29.6 million five-year technical-services contract from the Electromagnetic Systems Department of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center,  the company announced Thursday.

The contract includes engineering and technical services, software development, fabrication, assembly, integration, and test and evaluation in support for augmentation systems deployed on United States submarines and other platforms such as unmanned underwater vehicles.

The company had already previously provided these services for NUWC under a three-year contract, which commenced in 2014. The project will be led by SEA CORP, which will continue to work with subcontractors.

Jason Vetovis, SEA CORP’s senior technical representative for this contract, stated, “This award will allow SEA CORP and our teammates to continue providing time and mission-critical support to the U.S. Navy submarine force. We are excited to expand our role in the design and development of systems required to meet the electromagnetic maneuver warfare needs of the Navy.”
