The East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a presentation with Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) Executive Director, Keith Stokes on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. The presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. at East Providence’s Weaver Library located at 41 Grove Avenue across the street from City Hall.
Mr. Stokes will share his vision for Rhode Island’s economy and his plans for the future of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. Among the topics are developing RIEDC’s strategic plan for economic development priorities, program development to build municipal and regional centers of commerce, and community development that leverage Rhode Island’s regional opportunities including site assessments, main street development, and other critical economic project coordination with Rhode Island’s cities and towns.
