WOONSOCKET – Love Your Heart, a Valentine’s Day-themed farmers market, will provide community access to fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as feature local businesses, a cooking demonstration and children’s Valentine activities on Tuesday.
The market is hosted by Thundermist Health Center and the Health Equity Zone of Woonsocket. The event will be held at Woonsocket Thundermist location at 450 Clinton St. on Tuesday from 12 to 3 p.m.

The farmers market includes fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as children’s Valentine activities. The event will feature a heart-healthy cooking demonstration from the University of Rhode Island Feinstein Center for a Hunger Free American Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Outreach Project. Local farms and businesses attending include: Concetta’s Bean to Bar, Harvest Kitchen Pickles, Rhed’s Hot Sauce, Sanctuary Herbs, Schartner Farms and Zeigler’s Farm.
“Our February market is a Valentine to our health,” said Tara Cimini of the Thundermist Food Access Team. “The farmers markets are structured around the support of local farms and businesses. We are happy to welcome Zeigler’s Farm and Concetta’s Bean to Bar chocolates to the market.”
Thundermist Grows! community garden calendars will also be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the community garden at Thundermist Health Center of West Warwick. Customers using SNAP/Electronic Benefit Transfer can double their money for fresh, local fruits, vegetables and herbs, courtesy of Farm Fresh Rhode Island.
