LINCOLN – Commercial contracting company Vantage Builders Inc. recently established a Rhode Island office within a 10,000-square-foot office building in Lincoln, as the company expands its presence in the Ocean State and continues to get contracts building out recently licensed retail marijuana facilities.
The company, which specializes in preconstruction, construction management and design-build services, recently opened its third office location at 42 Albion Road in Lincoln.

Vantage Builders was founded in 2000, with headquarters in Waltham, Mass., and another office in Orlando, Fla.
Throughout its history, Vantage Builders has completed “many projects in Rhode Island,” but there continues to be a “growing demand,” said John Connor, principal, Vantage Builders. That includes clients such as Neon Marketplace gas stations, the Viking Hotel, National Grid and The Learning Experience early education and day care center in Warwick.
“We are looking forward to growing our presence in the state as we target exciting new opportunities,” Connor said.
Currently, a lot of the company’s work involves the state’s blooming legalized marijuana industry, with this new office opening within weeks of Rhode Island beginning regulated adult-use cannabis sales.
“Vantage has become one of the leading construction firms serving the fast-growing cannabis market,” the company said in its announcement, “with approximately 1 million square feet of projects either completed or in process, including cultivation, processing and dispensary facilities.”
Vantage Builders said the new office will allow for “hot desking,” meaning that employees who otherwise work at the firm’s Massachusetts office will be able to work in the Lincoln office if it’s more convenient.
“The office features an open work environment, with ‘hot desking,’ which will allow Vantage employees the flexibility to work in either the firm’s headquarters in Waltham or the new location,” the company said in its recent announcement. “The new office was opened in response to growing demand for the firm’s services, as Vantage continues to expand in the Rhode Island market, as well as to provide an additional option for the members of the firm’s growing team who live in the area.”
The leased office space is part of a 6.6-acre office park, with three buildings totaling 54,000 square feet of space, also including 40 St. and 44 Albion St., which are all owned by the Georgia-based Lincoln Industry Partners LLC.
