DARTMOUTH – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth School of Law reached an 80% bar exam pass rate for first-time test takers, according to the July exam results recently released by the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners.
The mark ranks No. 5 among other such schools in the commonwealth and is the highest among non-Boston-based colleges and universities. Harvard University, Boston College, Boston University and Northeastern University finished with higher rates than UMass Law.

UMass Law says the first-time test-taker pass rate is considered an important metric demonstrating how a law school prepares legal professionals.
UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Mark Fuller said in a statement the school’s law students are showing “the power of public higher education.”
