CVS launches Android app

WOONSOCKET – CVS Caremark Corp. launched its Caremark.com Android application on Oct. 13.

The app is available for free on Android Market and provides access to the company’s Drug Information Database where users can research prescription medications, learn about generic alternative, learn about side effects, precautions, etc.

CVS Caremark plan members can manage their prescriptions online: order refills, check on the prescription order status, view prescription history, check drug coverage and cost, and locate a network pharmacy.

It is compatible with Android 2.1 OS and above phones. CVS has had an iPhone app since July 2010.
