PBN: What are you looking forward to in your new position?
POST: I’m looking forward to leading the company toward our identified strategic growth markets in New England [and] I look forward to driving our new and improved sales process. I plan on implementing the changes to sales by challenging our current sales/business model philosophy.
We will continue to get more efficient at qualifying sales opportunities in our markets. Our sales team is expected to identify stretch goals and objectives each month. Holding them accountable and supporting them will drive the company’s continued success.

PBN: How are you helping New England Construction stay on the ball?
POST: You can be innovative while being focused on the day-to-day sales process. In the world of construction, clients need many things. As a salesperson, it is our job to help our team keep the client informed. Communication is by far one of the most important pieces to keeping our clients happy. It may not be innovative to communicate, but having multiple employees touching the client sure strengthens our relationships and helps build long-term customers.
PBN: In your 10 years at New England Construction, is there one project that you feel particularly proud of?
POST: The one project that I am most proud of is the new home for Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. This was a 50,000-square-foot gut and rebuild of an existing nursing home on East Main Street in Providence. This new building is a Gold LEED Certified, state-of-the-art medical facility, which includes 16 hospice/hospital rooms, kitchens, gardens, nursing stations, family areas, chapel, HHCRI’s corporate offices, etc. This was a special project that gave us both local and national recognition, [as well as] multiple awards. •
