
The New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) recently recognized three Rhode Island-based employees from Veolia Water North America for their work in preserving water quality in New England.
“The NEWEA awards truly recognize environmental achievement,” said Keavin Nelson, president of Northeast and South operations for Veolia Water North America. “Seeing these employees’ professionalism and dedication to water quality acknowledged by such a leading environmental organization is something we’re very proud of at Veolia Water.”
Michael Hodde of the Veolia Water-operated Cranston wastewater facility was given the 2009 Rhode Island Operator of the Year Award. Scott Goodinson and Richard Salisbury received the 2009 Alfred E. Peloquin Award and 2009 J.J. Couchaine Collections Systems Award, respectively.
Veolia Water North America provides water and wastewater services to municipal and industrial customers in approximately 600 communities. •
