Kristin Rodgers sworn in as associate justice

PROVIDENCE – Kristin E. Rodgers was officially sworn in as associate justice of the R.I. Superior Court this month.
The daughter of retiring Superior Court Presiding Justice Joseph F. Rodgers Jr., she was previously a partner at civil litigation firm Blish & Cavanagh, where she had worked since 1996. She is filling the vacancy created by the retirement Superior Court Justice Vincent A. Ragosta last year.
Kristin Rodgers, 41, has a B.A. from Boston College and a law degree from Catholic University of America.
She was listed as one of the state’s top general commercial litigation attorneys in both the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 editions of the “Chambers USA guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.”
Rodgers has also worked as assistant town solicitor in East Greenwich and has served as chairwoman of the R.I. Supreme Court’s Character and Fitness Committee, which screens all applicants to the Rhode Island Bar. &#8226
