Marketers’ group donates $750 to Jr. Achievement

The American Marketing Association Southeastern New England Chapter this month donated $750 to Junior Achievement of Rhode Island, after raising the money through a silent auction. Several local companies supported the auction – most notably, the Providence Bruins, Citadel Communications and Smokey Bones.

The money will be used to support various JA programs designed to help young people understand business.

AMA chapter president Brian Heil said JA’s “unique approach to educate and foster budding business skills in high-school students is a great fit for our organization,” and he added: “We believe this is the beginning of a long and successful relationship.”

The American Marketing Association is the largest and most comprehensive professional society for marketers, with 38,000 members in 100 countries.
