PROVIDENCE – AAA Southern New England reported today that Rhode Island gas prices have dropped 5 cents over the past week, in the second consecutive week-to-week drop.
According to AAA’s July 30 survey, the price of self-serve regular unleaded was $2.909 per gallon, 7 cents less expensive than it was two weeks ago. Rhode Island is currently 1 cent above the national average of $2.899.
According to the survey, the range in prices for unleaded regular was 26 last, with the lowest being $2.739 and the highest being $2.999.
Average self-serve prices for other grades of fuel this week were $3.069 per gallon for midgrade unleaded, $3.189 for premium unleaded and $2.969 for diesel.
