McCann said Allegra navigated the COVID-19 pandemic by focusing on strategic new business opportunities and organic growth through referrals. The company also deployed strategies to retain employees, even when companies were laying off workers and attempting to find new hires.

“We have put a lot of energy into the nonprofit market segment,” McCann said. The nonprofit market was one of the few that thrived during the pandemic, as many social service providers received significant influxes of funding from public and private entities to carry out important services such as food distribution, he says.

The numbers back what McCann said. The company’s revenue grew 65% to $1.7 million in 2023 from $1 million in 2021.

McCann says he expects Allegra to continue to grow.
