The Lincoln-based insurance company views health and wellness as a top priority. Amica’s approach to employees’ health is holistic in nature, instituting four key pillars: mental, physical, social and financial.
Amica’s employee health initiatives include wellness credits, reduced mental health copays, free access to wellness apps, and on-campus wellness amenities such as a fitness center, personal training and group classes. Social connection is fostered through sports tournaments, employee cookouts, paid time off to volunteer, mentor programs and a matching gift program. Financial health features include access to financial advice, health care premium reductions and a 401(k) match, to name a few.
“We incentivize preventive care programs and offer on-site flu shot clinics,” Amica Vice President of Human Resources Scott Boyd said. “With dedicated spaces like mother’s rooms and access to ergonomic and safety resources, Amica ensures that wellness isn’t just a benefit; it’s a way of life.”
