NORTH KINGSTOWN – Applied Radar Inc. rolled out its latest radar signal processor, Titan V5, at the International Microwave Symposium, held June 15-20 in Atlanta.
The new processor incorporates two Xilinx Virtex-5 field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) – considered the most advanced FPGA processors available, the company said.
The Titan V5’s customizable mezzanine slots allow for various configurations of high-speed multi-channel data acquisition and waveform generation, while its high-speed fiberoptic connections allow the transfer of real-time data from board-to-board.
This allows advanced radar waveforms to be produced, processed and delivered – via fiber optic interconnects – to other processors in a radar system. •
