PROVIDENCE – Bank Rhode Island recently donated $25,000 to food banks across the state to help meet growing need as food costs rise, according to a news release.
The funding included $10,000 to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and $15,000 divided equally to 15 community-based food pantries. The financial support is in addition to a recent, six-week food collection drive hosted by the bank across its 20 branches.
