Barrington home sells for $1.4M

BARRINGTON – A shingled colonial home in town, featuring four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a two-car garage, sold recently for $1.4 million, according to Residential Properties Ltd., the real estate agency that represented the buyers.

The sale of 69 Adams Point Road marks the 43rd home in Barrington that sold for more than $1 million this year, according to Residential Properties.

According to public records filed with the town, the three-story home was sold by Julia Q. Gaffney to Jeremy T. Gilman and Jamie V. Gilman, of Barrington.

Located in the Adams Point neighborhood, the home is built on more than an acre of land. There’s a finished room on the third floor that could be converted into a fifth bedroom, the real estate agency said.

Originally constructed in 1963, the single-family home includes one indoor fireplace and another outdoor fireplace, next to the fenced-in swimming pool and full bathroom built in the backyard.
