Most women, 54.4 percent, responded “yes” to the survey question while a smaller amount, 45.6 percent, of men responded affirmatively.
And don’t assume the toilet Facebook users were mostly teenage phone addicts – the habit was greatest among 30- to 49-year-olds.
“This study illustrates one … [how] marketing is changing – it is becoming more ubiquitous. Marketing is everywhere and anything can be marketing,” said Edward E. Rigdon, professor of marketing at Georgia State University, in a news release.
