Blue Cross, AMC Health to partner on remote patient monitoring

PROVIDENCE – Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island is partnering with AMC Health, a New York-based telehealth and remote patient monitoring provider, to offer new monitoring services for Blue Cross’ Medicare Advantage members.

Members with congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are eligible for the program.

Patients will be equipped with Bluetooth devices that send real-time data to the AMC Health clinicians who help them manage those conditions, as well as others they may have.

Biometric data collected by the devices will supplement information on symptoms, behavior, environment and access to care through the use of a survey done either on a mobile app or over the telephone.
