• Health risk assessment services will be available on Monday, May 4 at the offices of Progreso Latino on 626 Broad Street, Central Falls from 6 to 8 p.m.
• A blood pressure screening will be offered on Saturday, May 9 at the English for Action Soccer Tournament at Merino Park, Providence from 12 to 2 p.m.
Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is referred to as a silent disease because it often has no signs or symptoms and many people don’t realize they have it. If left untreated, hypertension can lead to a heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure.
