Brooks Pharmacy has given a $30,000 grant to the Providence Children’s Museum to sponsor Brooks Pharmacy Free Sundays through December of this year, enabling the museum to offer free admission on the first Sunday of each month.
The grant will make it easier for families of all means to experience the museum’s hands-on, interactive exhibits and learn while having fun.
“Providence Children’s Museum has been a wonderful community resource for years,” said Doug Palmacci, vice president of advertising at the Warwick-based pharmacy chain. “We are very pleased that Brooks Pharmacy can partner with the museum for Brooks Pharmacy Free Sundays.”
The museum’s exhibits include “Water Ways,” where children can explore the swirling, whirling ways of water, and “Coming to Rhode Island,” an exhibit that celebrates the state’s rich cultural diversity. The newest exhibit, “Iway,” engages kids and grownups in an investigation of roadways and bridges to explore problem-solving in a whole new way.
