‘CarePages’ help moms with babies in the NICU

PROVIDENCE – Women & Infants Hospital has created a new Web-based “CarePages” service to help families whose babies are hospitalized to stay connected with friends and relatives before, during and after the hospitalization.
The service, launched in October, allows families to let people know how their baby is doing, and receive words of encouragement even if they don’t have the time to talk.
The launch of CarePages was championed by the Women & Infants’ Patient and Family Advisory Council, which gives patients, their family members and other concerned members of the community a voice in the design of hospital facilities, policies, programs, services and all other areas that affect the lives of patients and their families.
CarePages are secure Web sites, and all visitors must be registered. More information is available at www.womenandinfants.org. •
