CCRI Foundation will honor community leaders

WARWICK – The Community College of Rhode Island Foundation will honor “outstanding” community leaders at its fifth annual Changing Lives Celebration, A Cool Winter’s Evening.
Year Up Providence, Walter Jachna and Eileen Jeanes Jachna of Newport and Independent Insurance Agents of Rhode Island in Warwick will be honored as leaders in community, education and business, respectively, during the fundraising event. The celebration will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 1, at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston.
In a news release, the school said the evening will feature music by CCRI students, hors d’oeuvres, food stations and an awards ceremony. Silent and live auction items include two tickets to the Boston Bruins, a one-week stay in an Idaho home overlooking Grand Teton National Park and a one-week stay in Key Largo, Fla.
