MASHANTUCKET, Conn. – A 21,000-square-foot luxury spa is among the latest tenants to open in the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods 30-story hotel tower. Lease terms were not disclosed.
The G Spa at MGM Grand at Foxwoods is the second location for the Boston-based personal-care business founded in 2003 by television stylist Gretta Monahan, whose “style empire” already included the Grettacole salons and Gretta Luxe fashion boutiques.
Besides 12 treatment rooms – with offerings that include Swedish or hot-stone massage and a wide range of hair, skin and nail packages – the third-floor spa features a full-service health and fitness club with an indoor lap pool and Life Fitness “cardio loop.”
“It’s a dream come true, not only to bring an extension of my brand to the destination, but to partner with such a prestigious luxury hotel,” Monahan said. “Our services were carefully designed to cater to the MGM Grand at Foxwoods guest, offering unique treatments that utilize the essential elements of the earth.” In honor of its Native American hosts, her new spa has designed a series of services incorporating clay, maize and herbs, such as its new Spa Red Clay Mani/Pedi and Spa Maize Body Scrub.
“G Spa’s vision is in perfect sync with our overall brand messaging, offering the highest level of service and finest products imaginable to our guests,” Gillian Murphy, senior vice president and general manager of the MGM Grand at Foxwoods, said in a Wednesday statement.
