WAKEFIELD – ChartWise Medical Systems Inc., a medical software firm, says it will now integrate 3M Grouper Plus software with its ChartWise:CDI software.

The 3M Grouper Plus software facilitates “accurate and efficient grouping, editing, calculation of expected reimbursement, and supports complete and accurate documentation of the patient’s visit,” ChartWise said, adding that administrators will also be able to evaluate the financial impact of their hospital documentation improvement programs.
“Our agreement with 3M will give our customers a proven grouping solution that clearly adds value to our product,” said Dr. Jonathan Elion, creator of ChartWise:CDI.
ChartWise:CDI is the only documentation that translates clinical language used by physicians into accurate diagnostic language.
The one-year renewable reselling agreement outlines that a fixed amount of the proceeds will go to 3M, but the company did not disclose how much.
