PROVIDENCE – Citizens Financial Group Inc. says it will offer its commercial card customers a new service that will allow business owners to set spending controls on credit cards issued to their employees.
The service from MasterCard, called inControl, will also give business owners real-time information about their accounts, including purchases made or attempted by their employees.
Citizens Financial, Providence-based parent of Citizens Bank, said it’s the first U.S. bank offer the technology. The service is expected to be available in the second quarter.
“This breakthrough spend-management service answers our customers’ requirements for high security, improved control and greater cost efficiency for their commercial card accounts,” said Ellen Alemany, Citizens chairman and CEO.
