CUMBERLAND – The mobile phone store Wizard Wireless is testing out a new video game division at its Cumberland location as it makes its first foray into the gaming sector.
The Sprint/Nextel dealer’s new division, Wizard Games, sells, buys and trades games for all the major game systems. The store also offers video games for rent, priced at $5 for a three-night rental, and offers parental controls.
“We are very excited about this new opportunity,” Brandi Ferdinand, vice president of Wizard Games, said in a news release.
Wizard Wireless, which was founded in Norwood, Mass., in 1997, has already rolled out the game store at its Mendon Road location, and plans to expand Wizard Games next year to its other five locations, including North Smithfield, Providence and Warwick.
