CVS named one of New England’s best

WOONSOCKET – CVS Caremark has been named one of the winners of the 2007 “Best Benefits Practice” awards by the New England Employee Benefits Council.

The ninth annual awards, announced today, are presented to companies that exhibit innovation and creativity in planning and delivering their employee benefits programs.

Other winners include: Nova Biomedical of Waltham, Mass.; EMC of Hopkinton, Mass.; Fidelity Investments and Putnam Investments of Boston; Staples of Framingham, Mass.; and Suffolk Construction of Roxbury, Mass.

NEEBC noted CVS Caremark’s HealthSaver Toolkit, which “helps employees become more self-sufficient in managing the financial aspects of health care utilization,” the council said.

The awards will be presented at the NEEBC’s Best Benefits Practices Conference, Dec. 12, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick, Mass. The keynote speaker for the conference will be Peter Meade, senior vice president at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
