WOONSOCKET – The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust Inc. today announced $5.5 million in grants to nonprofit organizations nationwide, and said six Rhode Island organizations will share in the bounty.
“This tremendous gift from CVS Caremark will make a difference in the lives of many of our patients and their families,” said Daniel J. Wall, president and CEO of Emma Pendleton Bradley Hospital (www.lifespan.org/bradley), which received a grant to support its sensory, speech and occupational therapy clinic in Providence. “Having the support of a community partner like CVS Caremark is critical as we continue to advance and advocate for children’s mental health, and we’re grateful for their commitment and generosity.”
The other local recipients are:
• The Big Picture Company (www.bigpicture.org), developer of the Met Center in Providence, which has served as a model for inner-city schools around the world. (READ MORE)
