PROVIDENCE – The deadline to apply for PBN’s Business Excellence Awards program is Sept. 18.
Awardees will be honored for leadership, community service and general excellence in several categories, including entrepreneurship, business leadership, workforce development, and community involvement of individuals and a range of small to large companies and organizations, including women and minority-owned businesses, family-owned businesses, nonprofits and social service agencies.
A ceremony to honor the awardees will be held Nov. 7 at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick. This will be the 19th year the event has been celebrated. This year’s partner sponsor is Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP.
Individuals and organizations applying for the awards must operate in Rhode Island or Bristol County, Mass.

Christina H. Paxson, president of Brown University since 2012, received PBN’s Business Leadership award last year while Dr. Timothy J. Babineau, president and CEO of Lifespan Corp., was honored for the Corporate Citizenship award that year.
