Donovan-Boyle appointed executive director of Newport County Chamber of Commerce

NEWPORT – Erin Donovan-Boyle has been appointed executive director of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce.
The board of directors unanimously approved Donovan-Boyle’s appointment on a recommendation from the nine-member search committee.
She was one of six candidates interviewed for the job currently held by Jody J. Sullivan, who is retiring.
Said Donovan-Boyle, “I look forward to continuing the hard work of my predecessors and I am committed to working diligently on behalf of the chamber’s members to ensure their voice is heard, the needs of small businesses are understood and Chamber businesses have every opportunity to grow and thrive.”

Donovan-Boyle is currently the outreach director for U.S. Sen. Jack F. Reed’s Rhode Island Office. Donovan-Boyle previously worked as campaign manager for Secretary of state A. Ralph Mollis, was vice president of the Mayforth Group, executive director of the Ocean State Tall Ships and a funding specialist and project manager for the Newport County Development Council, the chamber’s nonprofit foundation.

Donovan-Boyle will start her new position June 15.
