First Citizens’ upgrades ATMs, Web site

FAIRHAVEN – First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union (FCFCU) now has automated teller machines (ATMs) that allow its members to conduct business in three languages: English, Spanish or Portuguese.
The credit union completed the upgrade of all its ATMs last week. The change was the latest in a series of additions and upgrades aimed at helping First Citizens members, credit union officials said.

“This [latest] improvement will allow our bilingual customers to conduct business in the language that is most comfortable for them, and will ensure that their transactions are accomplished in a timely manner,” said Peter J. Muise, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Those upgrades have included a greatly improved Web site that allows members to conduct all their banking business online. The site offers features including savings and checking account management; interactive mortgage and loan applications; and online account-opening services. It even allows prospective members to join the credit union, online.
“Our overall goal is to provide our members with first class products and services to make their First Citizens’ membership as valuable as possible,” Muise said.

First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union has nine branches, all in Massachusetts. The credit union can be found online at www.firstcitizens.org.
