General Dynamics Electric Boat parent’s Q2 profit jumps 14%

NORTH KINGSTOWN – General Dynamics Corp., the parent company of General Dynamics Electric Boat, posted a $1.16 billion profit in the second quarter, a 14% increase year over year, the aerospace and defense company said Wednesday.   Earnings per diluted share were $4.24 for the quarter, compared with $3.74 the year prior.  The results topped Wall Street expectations.
