LINCOLN – President and CEO of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce John C. Gregory will retire in late 2019, he announced Thursday morning.

Gregory has served in the role since September 1992. He said he will work with the chamber’s board of directors to find a successor and to ensure an “orderly transition.”

“I believe the time is right for this transition. The Chamber’s finances, staff strength, board engagement and key relationships have never been stronger,” wrote Gregory in prepared remarks.

“I also want to thank board leadership. With their input and our strong professional staff, the transition will be a positive process with a great outcome for the Chamber,” he added.
