GTECH signs Turkish deal

PROVIDENCE – GTECH Corp. signed a two-year contract extension, valued at about $30 million, with Turkey’s national lottery.
The Providence-based subsidiary of Italy’s Lottomatica Group will provide new lottery technology, products, and ongoing services; the extension details an upgrade to the central system with GTECH’s Company Enterprise Series Evolution.
GTECH has worked with the Turkish lottery, Milli Piyano Idaresi Genel Mudurlugu, since 1996.
“We are proud of our 15-year partnership with Milli Piyango which continues to grow,” said GTECH President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel. “With the added benefits and features of new lottery technology, Milli Piyango will not only improve their current business processes, but it will also enable them to expand their product and service offerings, and provide for a future growth path of their retailer network.”
GTECH will also install 5,000 Altura GT1200 terminals and upgrade its communications infrastructure.
