Since Gov. Gina M. Raimondo took office in January 2015, the unemployment rate in Rhode Island has gone from 6.6 percent to 4 percent at its last reading in August. (During her predecessor Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee’s term, the jobless rate went from 11 percent to 6.7 percent.)
