IGT provides tech platform for
N.J. legalized sports betting

PROVIDENCE – International Game Technology PLC, a gaming technology, products and services company with offices in Providence, is powering legalized sports betting in New Jersey.

According to a press release, MGM Resorts International is using IGT’s sports-betting platform at the Borgota Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. IGT’s retail point-of-sale system allows guests to place in-play and pre-match sports bets, the company said. IGT said it powers retail sports betting at 10 Las Vegas Strip properties now, as well.

“We are ready to deliver the products, technology, support and service to make retail and mobile sports betting a reality in any legalized state, today,” said Renato Ascoli, IGT CEO, North America.
