Infectious disease specialist to speak on long COVID

PROVIDENCE – An infectious disease specialist and director of the Lifespan Long COVID Clinic will offer a virtual talk next month on lingering effects that some people experience after recovering from COVID-19.

Dr. Jennie Johnson’s presentation is part of The Miriam Hospital Women’s Association Community Speaker Series.

Titled “Long COVID: The Pandemic After the Pandemic – Understanding and Treating Post-COVID Syndrome,” the presentation will take place May 17 at 7 p.m. over Zoom.

Johnson, who is also director of the Lifespan Lyme and Tick Borne Infections Center, completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
