Provider Insurance Group has announced the grand-prize winner of its second annual Can You Make Insurance Funny? video contest at the Wellesley High School Film Festival. Peter Cramer, a 2010 graduate of Wellesley High, was awarded a $1,000 college scholarship for his contest entry.
The contest began last year when Provider partnered with video-production classes at Wellesley High to sponsor a video contest. This year, 14 students submitted entries.
Cramer’s humorous 30-second video, “Time to Say Goodbye,” features the slow-motion destruction of a child’s Lego castle, signifying how the unexpected can happen at any time, no matter how cautious one is.
“I’ve known for a long time that there’s a story behind the tragedy of working on something for months, only to see it come crashing down,” said Cramer. “The Provider contest was the perfect opportunity to turn my idea into a marketable message.” •
