Shazamm launches new ESPN event wrap-up site

PROVIDENCE – Digital design studio Shazamm has launched a new event wrap-up Web site for ESPN’s X Games and Winter X Games.

The site (www.espnsmapwrapups.com) includes event highlights, wrap-up video, television ratings, a photo gallery, descriptions of every event featured in the X Games and an Interactive Village featuring information about each of the X Games’ corporate sponsors. The site will also function as ESPN’s online X Games archive.

“The new wrap-up site has provided us with a new interactive forum to showcase results and highlights of the X Games events for our sponsors,” said Kathleen Sullivan, promotions director for ESPN, in a release. “Shazamm was able to provide us with a great final product that takes our sponsorship relations to a new level.”

The site utilizes ZMedia, Shazamm’s proprietary content management tool. Using ZMedia, ESPN staff can easily update and maintain the entire wrap-up site, via a Web-based administrative area. In addition, Shazamm designed and developed corresponding CD-ROMs, mailed to the X Games’ corporate sponsors, to drive traffic to the site.
