How has COVID-19 changed your industry? COVID-19 brought technology to the forefront of our industry. Many people in public accounting had been advocating for more leveraging of technology in the industry to allow work from home, more availability of consultants and allowing expertise to be shared across time zones prior to COVID-19. However, COVID-19 allowed us to more readily demonstrate how effectively work can be done remotely.
What is the best advice you have ever received? Don’t let others dictate how you perceive yourself.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Continuing to grow and develop the tax practice at Citrin Cooperman, spending time trying to get my teenage children to talk to me and hopefully traveling more.
What was your first job? My first job was at Dunkin’ Donuts at age 13.
What moment changed your life more than any other? The birth of my children changed my life more than any other moment. Having another person rely on me for everything only increased my determination to learn, grow and change the world around me.
What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Coffee milk or clam chowder.
What was your last streaming or cable binge watch? “Yellowstone.”
What led you to pursuing a career in your current industry? When I was in high school, I wanted to do something that incorporated math and allowed me to balance family with a career. I took an accounting course and thought that this is what I wanted to do.
